Music Hack Day Stockholm this weekend

The Stockholm episode of Music Hack Day is closing in fast. We are expecting around 90 hackers to spend over 24 hours at the Doberman HQ building the future of music. You will be able to follow pictures, tweets and live casts via the site.

Music & Bits today

Right now i’m watching Eric & SpeedyJ discussing the future of music and technology. Later today there will be presentations by some of the more interesting companies in this space. Looking forward to an interesting afternoon!

Best swag from ADE, a bag with a small flashlight and a not saying “Can’t find your royalties”. Anthony was [...]

Hacking tour

Starting Thursday me and David will go on a (very) short hacking tour in Europe. It’s mainly two different events that has drawn our attention; EcoMo in London and Music Hack Day, The Sequel, in Berlin.
EcoMo
For EcoMo we have teamed up with Jorgé Zapico who is a PhD student at KTH and the centre for [...]

Quote from The Guardian

“GLC’s hometown, Newport, is currently the 119th most active city on CitySounds.fm, a clever new site which enables you to listen to the latest music from any city in the world. The site pulls in its streams from the excellent SoundCloud.com, then uses the location tags of the artists and listeners who have uploaded music [...]

TechCrunched, yay?

This saturday CitySounds.fm was techcrunched! The mention was a part of an guide to music services on the web and thus not an article entirely about our little project. But. The selection of services is a bit strange and the fact that they didn’t even mention Hypem which is one of the absolute best web [...]

New and improved CitySounds.fm

Yesterday we released a new version of the site and  there is quite a lot of new stuff, we think the site has gotten a [...]

Let me present: CitySounds.fm

The last two weeks has been quite hectic since i’ve been building a new site with some friends, but more about that tomorrow. Now I want to tell you about the project that me and David created during Music Hack Day in London about two weeks ago.
Music Hack Day was an event for hackers with [...]

Music Hack Day

Only a week left until the Music Hack Day event in London takes place. Ever since 24 Hour Business Camp i’ve been longing for another real hack session focused on getting stuff done and it looks like MHD could be one of those. Great companies like EchoNest, Last.fm, Songkick and (of course) SoundCloud have open [...]

Two and a half years of stickering

SoundCloud raises €2.5 million

Great news this morning, although It was hardly news for me ;). SoundCloud raises €2.5 million (roughly 27 million SEK) in a new financing round led by Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures. I was briefly involved in the project last year helping them with their API and third-party developer community. I’ve also built several apps on [...]
